HLTAID001 Provide Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation

This course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training is conducted in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

CPR skills should be updated annually and is recommended to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

**Please note it is a requirement of this course that the practical demonstration of CPR on an adult manikin must be performed on the on the floor**

Course Duration: 3 hours face to face training

Course cost: $70.00pp

Note: Additional fees will apply for courses outside metropolitan Adelaide.

Course Content

  • Legal and other requirements
  • Basic life support protocols (DRSABCD)
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Demonstration and use of a defibrillator (AED)
  • Debriefing/Welfare


This course employs a variety of assessment methods in order to determine competency. These include verbal questioning, multiple choice questions, practical scenarios and demonstration.

Course Requirements

There are no pre-requisites for this CPR course. Students must be at least 14 years of age at the time of attendance.

On successful completion of your course you will be issued electronically a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment:

Which will be will be issued by Safety Corp Pty Ltd (RTO #91694).  The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines recommends that HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) skills are refreshed annually.
