An online First Aid workbook needs to be completed prior to course commencement. The online workbook link and log in details are emailed to participants once enrolment is received. This pre course Online Workbook takes approximately 1.0 hour to complete and consists of an online First Aid  manual to assist participants with answering a series of multiple choice questions. Answers can be saved and finished any time prior to the course commencement.

This course employs a variety of assessment methods in order to determine competency. These include verbal questioning, multiple choice questions, practical scenarios and demonstration.

**Please note it is a requirement of this course that the practical demonstration of CPR on an adult manikin must be performed on the on the floor**

This unit of competency has been approved by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority  (ACECQA) who have deemed it to satisfy all requirements for first aid, anaphylaxis management and emergency asthma training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).

There are no pre-requisites for this course.

However **Please note it is a requirement of this course that the practical demonstration of CPR on an adult manikin must be performed on the on the floor**

Students must be at least 14 years of age at the time of attendance.

On successful completion of your course you will be issued electronically a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment:

• HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, and
• HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support, and
• HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Which will be will be issued by Safety Corp Pty Ltd (RTO #91694).  The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines recommends that HLTAID011 Provide First Aid skills are refreshed every 3 years and HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) skills are refreshed annually.

This course is delivered in accordance with State/Territory First Aid Codes of Practice, Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines and workplace procedures, allowing your workplace to meet its legal requirements in relation to the provision of first aid in the workplace.
